Thank you Jason

You may have seen this on the news in the last couple of days. Even so, I thought it was worth sharing again.

For those souls that don't "get" what sports are all about, allow me to invite you to take a look at this CBS video.

Sports are a metaphor for life. Everything we do is somewhere between a strikeout and a homerun. And then there are moments like this that can only unfold on a field or a court.

Enjoy!

4 Wheeling in Cali

Mike and I decided to take the trucks off road to do a little exploring. This location is in Chula Vista about 10 minutes from my house. These mountains are amazing and provide a stunning view from the summit. Today was very clear and we could easily see downtown San Diego as well as the ocean. The roads were quite steep but the Toyota performed like a champ. This summit took us about 30 minutes to reach.

Jimmy Love's on a belated Valentine Date

My wife and I went downtown last night for a movie and a nice dinner (Jimmy Love's) to celebrate Valentines. We decided to see Walk the Line and it turned out to be quite entertaining. Phoenix was excellent and Witherspoon surprisingly good. I later found out that they each did their own singing.

Johnny Cash was before my time so I didn't realize that he ran in the same circles as Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis. Wow! That must have been some tour. This is actually a DVD that I would purchase.

“How well I have learned that there is no fence to sit on between heaven and hell. There is a deep, wide gulf, a chasm, and in that chasm is no place for any man.”
-- Johnny Cash
